Arrest Warrants Issued for Mayor Andy Ginther's Sister and Niece
They're no Thelma & Louise, but Anne Ginther and her daughter, Jazmine, are both wanted by the law after they failed to appear in court for a lingering 2021 felony theft case.
The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas issued a warrant for Anne Ginther, 50, on February 2 after she failed to appear on January 31 for trial. The court issued a warrant for Jazmine Ginther, 24, on May 26, 2021, after she failed to show up for trial on May 24, 2021.
On February 10, 2021, a Franklin County grand jury indicted the Ginther's on one count of felony theft. According to the indictment, they swindled a 59-year-old disabled man out of $4,000.
The victim told the Columbus Division of Police that he allowed the Ginther's to use his debit card to purchase food. Instead, he says they made several unauthorized withdrawals and transactions.
Anne and Jazmine Ginther pleaded not guilty at their arraignments last year and were each released on a $2,000 own recognizance bond.
