Woman Busted Attempting To Smuggle Drugs Into Jail
Updated: Sep 28, 2022
A 32-year-old Columbus woman Franklin County Sheriff's Office deputies busted attempting to smuggle drugs to an inmate skipped out of jail without having to post bond.

Nadira Hassan, 32, is charged with illegal conveyance of drug of abuse onto grounds of a detention facility or institution, a felony.
Franklin County Municipal Court Judge Eileen Paley released Nadira Hassan on her own recognizance at last Thursday's arraignment. For those unfamiliar with bonds, it means Hassan didn't have to post a penny in bond money and gave the court her word that she'll return for all future hearings in this case.
On September 20, deputies arrested Hassan at the Jackson Pike jail with straws filled with drugs sources say Hassan tried to deliver to Christopher Freeman. The 29-year-old ex-con is charged with five felonies including attempted murder and is being held on a $350,000 bond.
According to court records, Freeman was paroled on July 27, 2020, after serving nearly 3 1/2 years at the Ohio Dept. of Rehabilitation and Corrections for forgery and felonious assault. His relationship with Hassan is unknown.
Hassan's preliminary hearing is set for October 10 at the Franklin County Municipal Court. Deputies also found a loaded handgun in Hassan's vehicle, but according to sources she has a CCW permit.
