CPD's Top Cops Still Not Certified
Records obtained by The Sussi Report show that Columbus Division of Police

Chief Elaine Bryant and Asst. Chief LaShanna Potts have not completed the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
The Detroit Metropolitan Police Dept. veterans were hired last June and have one year to get certified. Records show that both Chief Bryant and Asst. Chief Potts applied for OPOTA training shortly after they were hired.
Chief Bryant graduated from the Detroit Metropolitan Police Academy in June of 2001 with an overall score of 93.1 Asst. Chief Potts graduated from the academy in July of 1997 with an overall score of 81.3. The complete academy records for both are attached.
