Man Who Launched Fireworks At Police Cops A Plea
OCTOBER 7, 2021

Brandon Lee Pack celebrated his 26th birthday on September 22 in courtroom 4-E at the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas where Pack copped a plea to shooting mortar-style fireworks at Columbus Division of Police officers during the Summer Riots of 2020.
Pack pleaded guilty to three counts of felonious assault and one count each of aggravated riot, breaking and entering and vandalism. As part of the deal, the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office dropped nine felonious assault charges and one count of aggravated arson.
Pack discharged the commercial-grade fireworks at officers on May 29, 2020 near Front Street and Broad Street. At least 21 officers were struck by the explosives. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
Lee will be sentenced on November 20.
The Sussi Report learned that in May of 2017, police arrested and charged Pack with obstructing official police business and resisting arrest. In exchange for his guilty plea to obstructing official police business, prosecutors dropped the resisting arrest charge.
