An employee with a contractor that provides health care services to Franklin County Jail inmates recently found herself on the other side of the bars.

Franklin County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Cynthia Cameron, a nurse with Armor Health, on February 24 on felony theft charges. According to the complaint, the 60-year-old Cameron stole acetaminophen and codeine phosphate – both pain relievers - from the Jackson Pike Jail.

Maureen Kocot, a spokesperson with the FCSO, told The Sussi Report that Cameron no longer has security clearance to work at FCSO Facilities. Said Kocot, "The Franklin County Sheriff's Office takes missing and stolen medication at our Corrections Centers extremely seriously. The Special Investigations Unit is conducting a thorough investigation, and Sheriff Dallas Baldwin has tasked administrators with a review of security protocols.

Franklin County Municipal Judge Bill Hedrick released Cameron on a personal recognizance bond. Cameron's preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11.
