Columbus Mayor Andy Ginther managed to get a few moments with Vice President Kalama Harris Friday during the VP's short visit to Columbus to trumpet the historic $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.
So did a few members of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 189, where the VP addressed a small group of guests.
City Council President Shannon Hardin planned on attending the event but sources tell The Sussi Report that Hardin didn't pass a security background check
so Secret Service agents denied him access. Sources say the 34-year old democrat has an out-of-state warrant – for a traffic violation. At the moment, we're not sure what the violation is or the state.
The Sussi Report reached out to Hardin's staff but hasn't heard back.
Hardin has been known to have a lead foot. In 2012, according to Franklin County Municipal Court records, the Ohio Highway Patrol ticketed "Hotrod" Hardin for driving 69 mph in a 55.
In 2009, according to Clinton County Municipal Court records, the court fined Hardin $157.00 for not having an operator's license. The charge was amended from Hardin driving under suspension for not having insurance.
