Teen Accused Of Killing A 14-Year-Old Girl Once Produced A 'Kill List'
In March of 2018, a teacher at Linden McKinley STEM Academy confiscated a piece of paper from a 14-year-old student that sent chills throughout the building.
A list of names the young man wanted to murder, a "KILL LIST," according to a report filed with the Columbus Division of Police.

The student who penned the disturbing list? Michael Rashawn Green, the same 18-year-old Linden teenager accused of shooting to death a 14-year-old girl and wounding two other teens on July 4, 2020, at a barbeque on Vesta Avenue in South Linden.
The Sussi Report carefully combed through 28 Columbus Division of Police incidents on file for Green. We discovered an alarming pattern of violence and crime that escalated from year to year. Our investigation is also another glaring example of how the Franklin County Juvenile Court fails to rehabilitate dangerous young offenders and protect us from them.
Twice in 2020, following the fatal July 4 shooting, Green cut off his ankle monitor and slipped out of his home. At that time, Green was a suspect in the shooting but hadn't been charged. The incident reports did not address why Green was wearing ankle monitors.

Green is charged with a delinquency count of murder, discharging a firearm over a roadway, and seven delinquency counts of felonious assault on July 2, 2020, that left a 14-year-old girl dead and two teens wounded. Because Green was 16 at the time, he is being charged as a juvenile. Juvenile Court Judge Kim Browne set Green's bond at $45,000, and if Green makes bail, he must wear an ankle monitor.
Green is currently behind bars at the Franklin County Jail for a receiving stolen property charge, a vehicle. The bond is $25,000.
On April 4, Green is scheduled to go to trial at the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas on tampering with evidence and firearms charges.
Regardless of the outcome of the three cases, Michael Rashawn Green will walk the streets again one day.
Note: Michael Rashawn Green has also put his family in harm's way - more than once. Three times over the past six years, his family's home has been the target of drive-by shootings, according to incident reports filed with the Columbus Division of Police. In 2021, a teenage girl was struck in the wrist by a bullet while brushing her teeth in the kitchen.
