Video Captures Gunshots and Hysteria At High School Football Game

It’s only 52 seconds, but this video clip – exclusive to The Sussi Report – puts you on the field when gunfire erupted Friday night at Groveport-Madison High, where the Cruisers hosted Canal Winchester.

The shots rang out as Canal Winchester approached the line of scrimmage to run a fourth-quarter play. In the video, you see a Groveport-Madison High player hit the ground, and players from both teams bolt off the field.

In the background, you hear a man scream, “Get down! Get down! Get down!”

Groveport police determined that the shots were fired outside the stadium and said none of the errant bullets struck anyone. Police say six shots were fired from a recovered Glock 10mm rigged to be fully automatic.

Police say the person who fired the shots is 18-year-old James Keys, who, according to a source, attended Groveport-Madison High last year but not this year. Keys is charged with improper discharge of a firearm and inducing panic. Police also took an underage boy into custody.
