Wanted: Columbus Mom Charged With Shooting Five-Year-Old Son

Her name is Trenise Turner. On July 23, 2021, a Franklin County grand jury indicted the 30-year-old Columbus woman on felonious assault, displaying or brandishing a firearm, and endangering children.
The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas issued an arrest warrant. To date, Turner remains on the run.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, an intoxicated Turner got into an argument with family and friends on July 16 and pulled out a handgun. Thinking better it, Turner told police as she attempted to stick the loaded weapon back into her purse, it went off and struck her five-year-old son. The bullet pierced both knees.
It should be noted that police arrested Turner following the shooting. Turner served three days in jail before posting the $5,058 bond set by Franklin County Municipal Judge Eileen Paley.
On October 17, 2021, the court issued second arrest warrant for Turner. This time by the Franklin County Municipal Court on a domestic violence charge.
